What's it like at Sixt resort?

Sixt is a wonderful resort for groups in which not everyone is a skier. The skiing is excellent and easy to access from the village for beginners. Intermediate and black runs are quiet and well cared for. For those that need more challenging skiing or just more runs a bus ride gives access to Samoens and from there the rest of the Grand Massif (265km of piste via 73 lifts). Non skiers can snow-shoe, hike, cross country ski or enjoy the quiet time and good food available in this beautiful village.

Matt from France writes:

Sixt had a disastrous year last year, with the poor snow in the Alps. But his year has more than made up for it. Even at the busiest times it is uncrowded. The reds at the top of the resort are superb tree-lined runs and a brilliant way to end the day after coming down the Cascade. Great for beginners too.
